Image Morphing Using Deformation Techniques
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper presents a new image morphing method using a two-dimensional deformation technique which provides an intuitive model for a warp. The deformation technique derives a C1-continuous and one-to-one warp from a set of point pairs overlaid on two images. The resulting inbetween image precisely reflects the correspondence of features specified by an animator. We also control the transition behavior in a metamorphosis sequence by taking another deformable surface model, which is simpler and thus more efficient than the deformation technique for a warp. The proposed method separates transition control from feature interpolation and is easier to use than the previous techniques. The multigrid relaxation method is employed to solve a linear system in deriving a warp or transition rates. This method makes our image morphing technique fast enough for an interactive environment.

Image Morphing Using Mass-Spring System
A fast and efficient deformation model is essential for realistic simulation of image morphing. In order to create models that are fast to simulation, we use a mass-spring system, which is applied widely in the real time animation of deformable objects. One-to-one deformation is one of the important issues in image morphing. We propose a method of detecting and removing overlaps in the process ...
متن کاملVolume Morphing Methods for Landmark Based 3d Image Deformation
Volume morphing is a technique used for generating smooth 3D image transformations and deformations. In this paper, several algorithms are developed for morphing transformations that create new forms and simulate shape deformation and growth in biomedical applications. 3D biological point landmarks and their movements are deened to guide the morphing transformation using a scattered data interp...

A multi-objective optimization (MOO) of two-element wing models with morphing flap by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) techniques, artificial neural networks (ANN), and non-dominated sorting genetic algorithms (NSGA II), is performed in this paper. At first, the domain is solved numerically in various two-element wing models with morphing flap using CFD techniques and lift (L) and drag ...
متن کاملImage morphing using deformable surfaces
This paper presents a new image morphing technique using deformable surfaces. Drawbacks of previous techniques are overcome by a physically-based approach which provides an intuitive model for a warp. A warp is derived by two deformable surfaces which specify horizontal and vertical displacements of points on an image. This paper also considers the control of transition behavior in a metamorpho...
متن کاملImage Morphing: A Literature Study
Image morphing has been the subject of much attention in recent years. It has proven to be a powerful visual effects tool in film and television, depicting the fluid transformation of one digital image into another. This paper reviews the growth of this field and describes recent advances in image morphing in terms of three areas: feature specification, warp generation methods, and transition c...
